I haven’t been writing much this year. But I figured what better time to get my creative juices flowing than Festivus, the best time of year to complain and air my grievances with the world. Plus it’s an annual tradition! Now, anyone who knows me is probably used to my daily rants about every day things. I know you all have been waiting for this. So here go my rants, in no particular order, for 2016.
-The new Tonight Show ‘waitlist’ system for tickets. Go back to the old way, dammit.
-Fees on tickets.
-The process of packing and moving.
-Traffic.
-People who turn left from the right-hand lane, thus cutting you off.
-Drivers who block the box.
-Middle Country Road.
-The neighbor who reads my magazines.
-The price of oil.
-The price of gas.
-Certain CMS systems.
-Millennials.
-The fact that I might not be a Gen Xer or a Milliennial.
-The Long Island Rail Road.
-Thieves who break into unlocked cars for drugs and cash.
-Cell phone companies.
-Paying interest.
-Insurance companies.
-Company takeovers.
-Lack of customer service at stores.
-Getting a mani/pedi and feeling like I’m bothering the workers.
-Facebook Live. No one cares.
-Not being able to get the temperature right.
-Dry skin.
You know there’s plenty more, but this will do for this year. What are your grievances? Get out your poles and get to it!
Now it’s time to get out that pole and air yours! Happy Festivus!
Big and fun things happened in 2015. Find out what!
