It’s the most wonderful time of the year….for complaining. No, wait, let me rephrase that. It’s the most wonderful time of the year for airing grievances. This is my fifth annual Festivus blog, and I love writing it every year. Though I must be getting soft, because I find it harder each year to find new things to complain about. Ah, who am I kidding, I’m always complaining. Maybe my goal should be to fix some of the things I don’t like, instead of complaining about them.

 

So, here we go, in no particular order:

 

-Liars
-Cheaters
-Traffic in L.A.

-Traffic in general

-The 25 minutes of trailers at the movies
-Drivers who don’t share the road with bikers (this will only get worse this year, I can feel it)
-racism
- favoritism
-entitlement – or rather people who think they are entitled

-lack of respect
-getting wedding invites without a ‘plus one’

-The random way men think it’s OK to hit on women at the gym (and vice versa)
-People who don’t wipe down the machines at the gym
-Lines or rather waiting in line
-The face that Facebook took away the feature that makes me unsearchable in Facebook

-People who say ‘You don’t call me.’ Um….it’s a two-way street
-When you say, ‘What are you doing this weekend?’ They say, ‘Nothing yet.’ You say, ‘Let’s get together.’ They say, ‘I’ll let you know.’ Thanks, jerk

-Flight delays

-Crying babies on airplanes

-When you don’t hear back either way after a job interview

-high heels

-mani/pedis that cost more than $25

-Blackberry

-Establishments that don’t have enough parking….or bathrooms

-ungrateful people

-people who don’t get the hint
